Good Morning, Let’s Get Moving!

Dougie is off for a few of days this week. It is I, Sarge. I will be your tour guide for at least today and tomorrow. God willing. Let’s begin.

Equity index futures are trading in the hole. We have the stronger-than-expected August jobs report in the rear-view mirror. This increased the likelihood for increased short-term interest rates to be announced as soon as next week. We also have a growing trade war with Canada to contend with as well as an ongoing kinetic war with Iran that is forcing oil prices higher.

That all said, let’s do something to get the blood flowing. I am going to do some push-ups, do some crunches and lift some weights. Then, I’ll walk the dog. You kids do you. Just don’t do nothing. Down some “joe” and get moving. We’re going to need energy before this day, this week and this month closes. That we know. So do something that helps generate some energy, both physical and cognitive in nature. I would also suggest doing something to feed one’s spirituality but again, you do you.

Alright. Lock and load, kids. They are likely to come at us from all sides today. Helmets, flak jackets, clean socks, drinking water, full battle rattle and gas masks on the hip. Everyone out on the sidewalk in an hour, ready to rock. That is all.
