2 Reasons Why Boeing Shares Are Outpacing the Market

Our shares of Boeing ($BA) took off on Monday morning along with the market but they had the added benefit of fetching an upgrade from BNP Paribas to Outperform — not from Neutral or Market Perform, but from Underperform.

That combo helped BA shares climb as the market open faded on Monday, but word that the FAA certified Boeing’s 737 Max 7 propelled BA shares higher. Last week, Boeing management hinted this approval was likely come in near-term and as we see it as another step that increases the likelihood of higher aircraft production levels in the coming quarters.

As you know, that is a central part to our thesis on BA shares. After recently increasing our BA price target to $265, we will want further confirmation of our thesis and that means waiting until we see another step up in Boeing’s monthly aircraft deliveries. The company typically announces its monthly commercial orders and deliveries on the second Tuesday of each month. This means we should be hearing about July orders and deliveries on August 11, and those orders will include the wins announced and others from the 2026 Farnborough Airshow held during the month.
